FACT: Animal Cruelty is a valuable predictor of present and future violent individuals.

FACT: Animal Cruelty occurs in all social, economic and cultural denominations.

Animal Cruelty is a misdemeanor or felony crime in New York State punishable by one to four years in prison and/or up to a $1,000-$4,000 fine. Animal Cruelty includes animal abandonment and animal neglect.

The Warwick Valley Humane Society is committed to assisting local, county and state law enforcement agencies in the alleviation, investigation and prosecution of suspected animal abuse.
