Warwick Valley Humane Society Programs

Adelaide SENIORS FOR SENIORS PROGRAM
A designated senior pet may be adopted to senior citizens (age 60+) with all fees waived, except the dog license fee.

OUR FOSTER CARE PROGRAM
Foster families are needed for special “needs” pets. Our foster program is designed to help certain dogs and cats during their recovery from illness or injury as well as infant kittens or puppies requiring bottle feedings. Fostering a senior dog during the winter months can help alleviate kennel overcrowding and provide a warmer, healthier safe haven for that pet in the interim. Some pets do not do well emotionally and physically in the shelter environment, so a foster home can be a life saver for them. It’s a wonderful way to help animals without a lifelong commitment.

What is the SNR program?
The Spay, Neuter and Return program is a specific reimbursement fee program subsidized by the Towns of Warwick and Chester and managed by our organization, for the spaying and neutering of stray cats within the respective Towns.
