Report A Lost or Found Pet
What to do if your pet is missing?

What to do if you find a dog?
Notify your local police department—it’s the law! Contact your local and surrounding humane societies and using caution check for identification tags.
What to do if you find a cat?
Admittance to our shelter facility for cats is based on cage availability and by appointment only. A friendly stray is probably someone’s missing pet. Once you feed a stray, it will not go away. Don’t encourage a stray to stay, unless you plan to keep it. Contact the shelter and provide a description. A feral or wild cat (non-friendly) is most likely not vaccinated. Do not approach or attempt to handle as you will be putting yourself and your pets at risk.
What to do if you need to surrender your pet?
Our shelter maintains a surrender list to admit owned pets when space is available. Ask other family members and friends to take your pet first before surrendering your dog/cat to a shelter. Have your pet up to date on vaccinations and neutered. For your pet’s safety, NEVER advertise “Free to Good Home”.
